FAQ

Short answers to the questions people ask most: how borrowing works, what it costs, what happens in a liquidation, and what qUSD actually is.

Basics

What is Quiver?
An overcollateralized debt protocol on Robinhood Chain. You deposit collateral into a vault and mint qUSD against it, instead of selling the asset.

Do I lose my collateral when I borrow?
No. It stays in a vault you control and comes back to you when you repay. It is only seized if the vault is liquidated.

Is Quiver custodial?
No. Vaults are on-chain and non-custodial — no intermediary holds your assets at any point.

Borrowing

How much can I borrow?
Up to the max LTV of the collateral you supplied — see risk parameters. Borrowing the maximum leaves no buffer, so most users draw well below it.

Is there a repayment deadline?
No. There is no fixed term. The position stays open as long as it remains above its liquidation threshold.

What does it cost?
A stability fee accrues on your debt, set per market. It is paid in qUSD and goes to the protocol surplus buffer.

Risk

What happens if my collateral falls in value?
Your health factor drops. If it reaches 1.0 the vault becomes liquidatable and the Stability Pool can absorb the debt, taking your collateral at a discount.

Can I be liquidated without warning?
Liquidation follows purely from the oracle price and your debt level. Monitor your health factor and keep headroom — there is no grace period.

Can I lose more than my collateral?
No. The debt is non-recourse: the vault’s collateral is the only thing at stake.

qUSD

What backs qUSD?
Every qUSD in circulation is backed by collateral worth more than the debt behind it — that is what overcollateralized means. See qUSD & the peg.

Is qUSD the same as a fiat-backed stablecoin?
No. It is not redeemable one-for-one at an issuer. It holds its peg through the incentives around minting, repaying, and liquidations.

Testnet

Is this live with real money?
Not yet. Quiver currently runs on Robinhood Chain testnet (chainId 46630). Test assets have no value and balances may be reset.

How do I get test collateral?
Use the faucet in the terminal — see the quickstart.
